no outro dia no fantastico a regina case falou q a onu preve que dentro de alguns anos 1/3 da populacao mundial vai estar morando numa favela. o brasil como jah eh o pais do futuro, conhece bem essa situacao... essas sao pinturas da adriana ricardo, uma pintora de 20 e poucos anos q vende seus trabalhos na feira do calcadao de copacabana. o trabalho dela se destaca do resto tanto pelo seu tema quase exclusivo - as favelas, como pelo seu virtuosismo tecnico. a gente comprou uma pintura dela ha uns 4 anos atras, quando ela ainda trabalhava como domestica durante o dia e pintava os quadros a noite. recentemente retomamos contato: ela agora casou, tem um filhinho, e mora no alto da favela tabajaras, entre copa e botafogo, onde continua pintando a noite, enquanto o filho dorme. essas sao imagens de alguns dos novos trabalhos
the other day on tv regina case said that the UN predicts that in some years 1/3 of the world's population will live in a slum. since Brazil already is the country of the future, we know situation well ... these are paintings by adriana ricardo, a 20 something painter who sells her work on the boardwalk of atlantic avenue, on copacabana beach. the work sets itself apart from the rest for its almost exclusive subject - favelas, and for its technical virtuosity. we bought one of her paintings some 4 years ago, when she still worked as a maid during the day and painted at night. we recently got in touch w her again : she's now married, has a a baby boy, and lives on the summit of the tabajaras favela, where she continues painting at night, while the son sleeps. these sao pictures of some of the new works
